Sometimes, during conversation or chit-chatting, you come across few lines or some particular sentence which strikes your mind. It so happened with me today when I went for breakfast with my colleagues. We came to a topic of starting our own business or go for government jobs. To accomplish this, it requires studying and applying for government jobs and one of my colleagues just told how it can be possible to leave the job and start studying. We have made such high standard of living that it cannot be fulfilled if stop earning money. Suddenly, the other colleague spoke this is the situation when one person becomes slave of himself. This sentence just struck my mind and I started brooding over it. I felt this is really so true in current scenario with many people who started their career with one of the top IT companies right after coming out of college earning more than 20k per month. The first few months of initial career seem to feel that we are highly rich when our bank savings keep on increasing every other month. But as we move further, we start rising high our standard of living by buying expensive costumes, foot-wears, handbags and so on. Also, thanks to the electronics world where highly configured electronic items (beating the older one) keeps launching in the market.
And people would tend to buy the latest model keeping up-to-date with the world without realizing that soon the newer model also will be launched. These day-to-day activities slowly become the standard of living for one individual where he/see cannot see himself/herself living at low level as compared to the current one. And this is the situation when an individual becomes slave of himself where he has to work to maintain his so-called standard of living not just to have food, cloth and house.
